Certificate of baptism
The certificate of baptism is a document issued by the church or parish that certifies that the person has received the first sacrament of the Catholic Church. It must contain the full name of the baptised person, his or her parents and godparents, as well as the place and date the Sacrament of Baptism was administered.
The baptism certificate is required especially in case you want to get married in church, but its presentation is also essential to be godfather of a baptised person, to be a Catholic Religion teacher at school, etc. To get this certificate, all you have to do is go to the church or parish where you were baptised.
