Certificate of Death
The certificate of death is an official document issued by the Civil Registry that certifies the death of a person. It must contain the details of the deceased person, full name, date and place of birth, and the date and place of death.
Its presentation is mandatory to carry out all the procedures related to the funeral and burial, to accept inheritances, request the widow’s pension, and may also be necessary for the Tax Agency, banks, Property Registries and other official organisations.
